Dear Parents and Students,
Hooray for our super hero students! This past week they began our yearend celebrations (tests). I am so proud of the great effort they are making to show their shining stars! They are amazing heroes of learning!
To best further prepare students for testing, please help your students with these 3 keys of success:
1) Get a good night's rest.
2) Arrive on time to school.
3) Eat a good breakfast.
Due to end of year testing this week, there will be no spelling or vocabulary homework this week. Students are encouraged to practice their math facts this week to achieve the Brilliant Bobcat Requirement.
Additionally, I hope students will use the time they have this week to work on their Wax Museum Report due on May 26th. Students will need to bring “proof” – notes, outline, rough drafts – of what they have been working on Monday or Tuesday, May 16th – 17th. This will show they have earned to go on the Alfen Ski Museum field trip on May 18th. If students have not begun their report, they will be given time this day to work on their report at school so that they can best be prepared for the wax museum on May 27th.
Thanks for your help and support in all our class adventures. I am so lucky to have your students in my classroom to learn and grow with everyday. Thank you for your notes and actions of appreciation this last week and throughout the year.
Our curriculum goals for the week include:
Reading: Literacy Groups
Writing: A to Z Utah Bare Book
Math: CRT Review
Science: CRT Review
Social Studies: Pioneers
I love learning and growing with your students each day. Each day I look forward to their sweet smiles, giggles, and hugs! It is hard to believe they are almost on their way to another year. I wish they could stay, but so glad I was able to teach them this year. Thank you for all your support through emails, phone calls, donations, and bright smiles.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Yates
